The Regional Animal Protection Society depends on volunteers to deliver individualized care to thousands of animals.
Consider the RAPS Cat Sanctuary or the RAPS Thrift Stores for your team-building event or just a fun day out!
Getting together to volunteer at RAPS can be an exciting, meaningful way for corporate groups, friends, service clubs, stag parties, birthday celebrations or other groups to spend a couple of unforgettable hours together.
There is always plenty to do! For group outings, we usually identify special, significant projects for which the group can take responsibility. (We’re going to be honest here: There aren’t many glam jobs at a cat sanctuary or thrift store. We’re talking about clearing brush, filling potholes, painting, sorting donations and so forth. But it is so important!)
After the work is done, we will give your team a guided tour of the facilities and allow plenty of time for soaking up the appreciation and love of the hundreds of four-legged residents!
These can be one-off events or weekly or monthly commitments — it’s up to you. We’re looking for groups of four or more committing to at least three or four hours, depending on your availability and the project’s needs.
We are happy to have your support in any way you can provide it. Getting together with friends is always a good way to maximize positive impacts on the world.

Also … we recognize how important your time is. Some people can volunteer, some are able to contribute in other ways. RAPS is able to deliver individualized care to the animals because of a small army of volunteers. But we also depend on the financial support of our community. If you are able to contribute financially, your gift will go a long way!
