Volunteer of the Month: Trina Tam

RAPS is all about the animals. But everything we do is possible because of people.

We are so grateful for the volunteers who allow RAPS to deliver individualized care to thousands of animals every year.

This month, we celebrate one special volunteer.

Meet Volunteer of the Month Trina Tam.

What is your role at RAPS?

My job is to make sure that the cats are fed and have a clean living environment that they call home.

How long have you been volunteering and/or working with RAPS?

I have been volunteering in the Sanctuary (double wide and laundry room) since Jan 2024.

What makes you committed to RAPS?

I enjoy doing this because it is so rewarding to see that these animals are having a good life that they deserve.

What is your favourite / least favourite part of your job?

The staff are all very nice to me and this means a lot to me. The only least favourite part is when the cats that I know passed away like Cole and Akiva … but I’m sure they are all running free in kitty heaven now. 😊

Tell us about yourself (where you grew up, family, pets, etc.)

I have two cats and a dog. I also cat sit my daughter who has 2 cats often, so my house is never short of happy paws!

What do you do in your spare time?

Other than volunteering, I travel and camp quite a bit. I also love reading (audible books to be exact) and watercolour painting.

Thanks, Trina, for everything you do!
