Urgent Rescue: Help Us Bring Abandoned Leukemia Cats to Safety

We urgently need your help to save a family of FeLV-positive cats who are in desperate need of care and a safe place to live.

These cats – mama Moon and her four adolescent kittens – were found abandoned in freezing temperatures in Winnipeg, left outside after their people moved away.

Thanks to the efforts of a small local rescue group, What’s One More Community Rescue, they were brought inside and cared for.

During their medical checks, all five tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV).

WILL YOU HELP THESE LEUKEMIA CATS

RAPS has agreed to provide these cats with a chance at a better life.

However, we need your support to transport them from Winnipeg to our Sanctuary, where they will be assessed, cared for, and prepared for either adoption or permanent residency at our Sanctuary.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Transportation Costs: We need to raise funds to transport Moon and her kittens safely from Winnipeg to Vancouver.
  • Medical and Ongoing Care: These cats require special medical attention, which includes veterinary assessments, treatment, and daily care.
  • Future Planning: Your donations will also help us determine whether these cats can be adopted into loving homes or if they will become permanent residents at our Cat Sanctuary.

The RAPS Cat Sanctuary is a destination for cats who might face euthanasia in other places. We have years of experience caring for FeLV-positive cats. Cats with leukemia can live long, happy, healthy lives if given the proper care – and we have the skills to give them their best shot at life!

Every dollar counts and goes directly toward ensuring the health and safety of these cats, who have already survived so much. Without your support, we cannot provide the necessary resources to give these FeLV-positive cats the chance they deserve.

Every contribution helps!

Thank you for your generosity and compassion for animals in need. Together, we can offer these cats a chance at a great life.
