Volunteers(s) of the Month: Tricia and Mike

October’s Volunteer of the Month is a two-fer! Couple Mike Larmour and Tricia Laughlin are devoted volunteers who have been helping out at the RAPS Adoption and Education Centre for about a year-and-a-half.

Meet these two awesome animal peeps …

Why do you choose to volunteer at RAPS?

Both Mike and I are avid cat people and RAPS community focus and no-kill policy fit with our beliefs. They are a great organization.

What is your favorite part about volunteering?

Spending time with the cats getting to know them and seeing them find forever homes is very rewarding.

Favorite cat? Favorite memory? Best experience?

We have connected with so many of the cats and are always so happy for them when they find homes.

Some of the notables were Mini, Pancake, Phoenix and Dobby. They each seemed to find a special place for us. We really enjoyed when the center was full of kittens, as there is nothing like 10 or 20 kittens running around and jumping all over you.

Tricia and Mike: Thanks so much for your amazingness! We are very grateful to have you as part of our team.
