RAPS Volunteer of the Month – November 2018

Gareth Jones

There is much reason to celebrate Gareth and his volunteer contributions to the adoptable dogs at the Shelter. For the past four years, Gareth has been a fantastic, reliable weekend dog walker. He has a special ability to connect with many dogs – especially the larger, less socialized dogs that make their way to the shelter as unclaimed strays and surrenders.

“I love dogs!” Gareth says. “I realize how lucky my own three dogs are and therefore I want to help other dogs as much as I can.”

Does he have any favorites? Gareth says all of the shelter dogs touch his heart and leave lasting memories. One even stole his heart so much that he adopted him! Regal the Beagle lives at home with Gareth and family and two canine siblings. Thank you, Gareth, for your outstanding contributions as a volunteer over the years. RAPS dogs and people alike are so thankful for your commitment, capability, support and love of dogs.
