Sanctuary is at the heart of the “RAPS Model”

The RAPS Cat Sanctuary is home to hundreds of unadoptable cats, many with special needs. This sanctuary, on acres of idyllic farmland in east Richmond, is Canada’s only one of its type and among the largest in North America.

The sanctuary is part of the reason RAPS can fulfill our NO-KILL promise. Without a permanent place for unadoptable animals, most shelters euthanize even healthy animals. Not RAPS.

We are developing a new “RAPS Model” of NO-KILL animal care. The final, vitally important piece of this model is the creation of the RAPS Regional Animal Hospital.

Once we have eliminated external veterinary expenses and developed new revenue from a social enterprise animal hospital, we plan to expand our sanctuary model to serve dogs and rabbits too!

All of this is possible because of the support RAPS has from animal-loving people in the community – like YOU!

Please join RAPS, support our capital campaign for the RAPS Regional Animal Hospital and help us save and improve more lives than ever before.
