Adoption Update!

Everyone’s favourite gentle giant, Joe, the Great Pyrenees/Maremma Sheepdog, found his furever home yesterday. Joe was surrendered to the shelter after his owner moved from a farm to a condo. Poor Joe’s fur was so matted it looked like he had 4 ears and 2 tails! The amazing groomers at Christine’s Grooming Studio made his coat beautiful, white, and tangle-free.

Recently-retired Teresa had been coming to the visit the dogs at RAPS for a few weeks, taking them out for walks to see which one was the right fit for her. When Teresa met Joe it was love at first sight (can you blame her??). Joe will soon be moving to the outdoorsy community of Kamloops where he can get lots of exercise and go on lots of adventures.
